Mortal Shell II — Axatana Location & Transform Moveset (Forgotten Tower)

The Axatana is Mortal Shell II's shape-shifter: light attacks flow as a pair of lightning-quick twin blades, heavy attacks merge them into a single brutal war-axe, and you can switch forms in the middle of a combo. Few weapons cover both single-target pressure and crowd clearing this cleanly.

Where to find it

1. Start at The Silent Steps Beacon and head north-east.
2. Follow the road to the highest point of the area, where you will find the Bone Gate.
3. Pass through the Bone Gate to reach the tower near the eastern corruption gate.
4. Press the button on the tower's rear face to open its door.
5. The Axatana waits inside, behind a lone enemy. Collect and go.

What it plays like

• Two weapons in one. The twin-blade form chains fast strikes for pressure and posture chip; the merged axe form delivers heavy, fight-changing single hits.
• Mid-combo transformation. The signature trick: open with blade chains, then convert the string into an axe finisher the moment an opening appears. Enemies never settle against a rhythm that keeps changing shape.
• Genuinely universal. Fast enough for single targets, heavy enough for groups, flexible enough to stay relevant from the moment you grab it to the endgame.
