Mortal Shell II — Obsidian Hammer Location (Obsidianite Mines)
Published 2026-09-174 min read
The Obsidian Hammer is Mortal Shell II's posture-breaking monster: the highest single-hit impact in the game and a shockwave heavy attack. Grab it in the Obsidianite Mines after the Prophet boss — full route inside.
The Obsidian Hammer is what happens when a weapon stops asking politely. A two-handed chunk of obsidianite with the highest single-hit impact and posture damage in Mortal Shell II, its heavy attacks crush enemy stance outright and force executions.

Where to find it
- From the Outskirts of Mammon Beacon, head south-west along the road.
- Cross the wooden bridge into the scaffold-caked area known as the Deserted Slums.
- In the center of the slums, drop down to the lower level where miners are working the rock.
- The entrance to the Obsidianite Mines dungeon sits at the south-west side of that pit.
- Push through to the end of the dungeon and defeat the mini-boss — the Prophet — and the hammer comes to you automatically.
What it plays like
- Posture destruction. The whole identity of the weapon: heavy attacks collapse enemy stance and open executions against almost anything, including armored elites.
- A shockwave heavy. The dashing heavy attack is a massive downward slam with area tremor — superb against large bosses and heavily armored foes, and it catches groups too.
- Crowds fear it. Few weapons clear a packed room as safely: one well-placed slam staggers everything nearby, and staggered enemies stay honest while you finish them one by one.
It arrives mid-to-late game, which suits its weight class — this is the tool you bring to the fights that were giving you trouble.
