Mortal Shell II — Synaptic Vessels: What They Do & Marrow Keep Merchant
Published 2026-09-173 min read
Synaptic Vessels permanently boost how much each Mether's Pulse heal restores in Mortal Shell II. What they do, how they stack with Revered Glands, and the vessel the Marrow Keep merchant sells outright.
Synaptic Vessels are the other half of Mortal Shell II's healing economy. Where Revered Glands add flask charges, Synaptic Vessels make each charge heal more — consumed at any Beacon, each one permanently raises the amount a single Mether's Pulse restores.

How the two upgrades stack
The optimal order recommended by survivors of the early bosses:
- Glands first. Extra charges give you the safety net to learn fights — take the three early Revered Glands before anything else.
- Vessels second. Once you stop running dry mid-fight, raising the value of every heal turns three-fight runs into five-fight runs.
And remember: vessels in your inventory do nothing. Spend them at a Beacon the moment you pick them up.
The Marrow Keep vessel
The simplest Synaptic Vessel requires no dungeon at all:
- From the Marrow Keep Beacon, take the left stairs toward the Gloom Siphon.
- Turn right at the Siphon to find the merchant's stall.
- Buy the Synaptic Vessel from his list. Coins spent on this rarely regret themselves.
The other vessels hide in the world — Blackridge Pass, two around the One-Legged Wolf, and one past the gate toward the Sanguine Caverns.
