Mortal Shell II — How to Get Tiel, the Acolyte (Graveyard Location)
Published 2026-09-173 min read
Tiel, the Acolyte is the easiest Shell to claim in Mortal Shell II: no boss, no dungeon, no fight at all. Walk south-east from the Widow's Overlook Beacon to the graveyard, claim the body, and unlock a bonus scene back at Marrow Keep.
Tiel, the Acolyte is the game's welcome gift to cautious explorers: a full Shell with zero combat attached. You do not need to clear a dungeon, summon anything or beat a boss — you just have to walk to the right graveyard and say yes.

Step by step
- Travel to the Widow's Overlook Beacon in the Fainweald region.
- Head for the graveyard beside the Beacon. The route is short and completely safe — nothing on the path needs to be fought, and nothing will ambush you at the grave itself.
- Interact with the body in the shallow grave. The game prompts you to take control of an unknown Shell. Choose yes, sit through the short scene, and Tiel, the Acolyte is yours.
That is the entire unlock. If you are collecting Shells in one pass, pair this with Proxima, the Broodseeker, who is claimed the same way inside the Blackridge Pass Beacon building.
Don't leave before the bonus scene
Once Tiel is equipped, return to Marrow Keep and speak with the nun while wearing the Shell. The game triggers a unique, surprisingly warm scene reserved for this combination — one of the few genuinely tender moments in an otherwise grim world. It costs nothing and is easy to miss if you swap Shells before talking to her, so make the detour while Tiel is still on your back.
