Mortal Shell II — How to Get Sariel, the Endless (Silent Steps Repeat Fight)
Published 2026-09-174 min read
Sariel, the Endless packs a Shell, a weapon and a sidearm into one repeat boss fight at The Silent Steps in Mortal Shell II. Here is how the three-kill line works, how to break his resurrection, and where the Caged Hystrix waits.
Sariel, the Endless is the most generous boss in Mortal Shell II — because he keeps coming back, and every rematch pays. One boss line at The Silent Steps yields three rewards: the Sariel Shell, the Clockwork Scythe primary weapon, and the Caged Hystrix sidearm.

How the unlock line works
- Fast travel to The Silent Steps Beacon and walk to the large stone platform where the mini-boss waits.
- Defeat Sariel the first time. He will not die properly — he flees through a wall that opens onto the Chamber of Becoming dungeon.
- Chase him through the dungeon and fight him again.
- In the final room, destroy the four grave markers that fuel his resurrections, then finish him for good. The Sariel Shell and Clockwork Scythe unlock on the spot.
- Before leaving, climb the stairs at the back of the room — the Caged Hystrix sidearm sits near the dungeon exit.
Fight notes: respect the reach
Sariel wields a scythe with absurd horizontal range, and most of his damage comes from sweeping arcs that punish frontal positioning. Two habits carry the whole line:
- Never stand in front. Circle to his sides and back; his swings cover a wide arc but his tracking is poor once committed.
- Save healing for the grave-marker room. The final phase pairs the boss with four objects to break, and entering it wounded turns a routine finish into a loop.
