Mortal Shell II — Revered Glands: What They Do & Widow's Overlook Location
Published 2026-09-173 min read
Revered Glands permanently raise how many healing charges your Mether's Pulse holds in Mortal Shell II. Here is what the gland actually does, where to spend it, and how to grab the one hiding behind the Widow's Overlook Beacon.
Revered Glands are the first upgrade every Mortal Shell II player should chase: consumed at any Beacon, each one permanently increases how many healing charges your Mether's Pulse flask holds. More charges means more mistakes forgiven — and in a game this aggressive, that is worth more than almost any weapon.

What Revered Glands do — and what they don't
- They raise your flask capacity. Each gland consumed at a Beacon adds a use of the Mether's Pulse, the game's healing item, which refills whenever you rest.
- They do not make each heal bigger. Capacity and per-heal power are separate stats — this one is pure charges. For stronger individual heals, you want Synaptic Vessels instead.
- Pickups don't auto-apply. A gland in your pocket does nothing until you spend it at a Beacon, so bank them deliberately.
Widow's Overlook gland location
- Fast travel to the Widow's Overlook Beacon.
- Walk into the woods behind the Beacon and keep going for a stretch.
- Look to your right for a barren patch with a stone shrine — a cluster of ritual stones, the largest standing tallest.
- A heavy-set corpse lies beneath the biggest stone. Loot it for the Revered Gland.
Pair this with the Revered Gland sold by the Marrow Keep merchant and the one in the Sunken Village and your flask grows by three early — enough to change how every early boss fight feels.
