The Citadel of Penance Beacon hides inside the fortress itself in Mortal Shell II — reached by teleport sack, not the front gate. Cleanse it, collect Fainweald Map Fragment 2, and stage for the warden boss guarding Eredrim.

The Citadel of Penance does not roll out a carpet. Its Beacon sits deep inside the fortress, and the practical way in is not the front door — it is the teleport sack hidden in the scene.

The route

  1. Find the teleport sack in the scene and interact with it — it zips you directly inside the Citadel of Penance.
  2. Run the interior route to the Citadel of Penance Beacon and cleanse it.
  3. Collect Fainweald Map Fragment 2 along the route, close to the Beacon.

What this Beacon stages

The Citadel is a boss district: the warden-style region boss deeper inside drops the Eredrim, the Venerable Shell. With the Beacon cleansed, every attempt at that fight starts from inside the walls instead of outside the gate — the difference between a learning loop and a slog.
