Mortal Shell II — The Ending Area Beacons: Forgetting Chamber to Believers' Sanctuary
Published 2026-09-174 min read
The endgame area of Mortal Shell II hides its beacons behind a corrupted checkpoint and three severed branches. Part one of the final beacon chain: the Forgetting Chamber, the Audience Hall and the Believers' Sanctuary.
Below Marrow Keep lies the game's final region — an unmapped endgame expanse with no map of its own, gated behind a corrupted Beacon and three pulsing branches of a red monolith. This guide covers the first arc of its Beacon chain.
Entry requirements
The final road opens from the Marrow Keep Beacon's ovum altar once you have pushed both overworld regions to roughly 95% Beacon purification and delivered the stolen Ova. When the cutscene plays and the floor opens, the endgame has begun.
The first arc: Forgetting Chamber → Audience Hall → Believers' Sanctuary
- Drop into the underground road from Marrow Keep and ride the first portal across.
- Clear to the corrupted Beacon. It will not light until you sever all three branches of the red monolith — this first trip is about scouting, not completing.
- Take the right-hand road first: follow the lower path, clear the portal crossing, and climb the stairs to cleanse the first endgame Beacon — the elevated bridge checkpoint.
- Push forward into the barren shrine arena beyond it, clear the pit, deliver the Ova, and return.
- Cross the bridge and defeat the two-phase guardian — its second form is famously manageable with Genessa's summon. The platform rises to reveal the hollow cradle Beacon — cleanse it, clear its shrine, and sever the first branch of the monolith.
Severing a branch teleports you back to the corrupted Beacon — each severed branch is a third of the key to lighting it.
