Mortal Shell II — The Ending Area Beacons: The Hidden Nave & the Final Battle

Published 2026-09-174 min read

With all three branches severed, the corrupted Beacon of Mortal Shell II's endgame finally lights — the hidden nave. Grab the Endless Core, bank your Gloom, summon an ally and face the final boss.

All three branches are severed, and the corrupted Beacon at the region's heart finally answers. The hidden nave is the last Beacon of Mortal Shell II — and the antechamber of the final fight.

The hidden nave, the final beacon of Mortal Shell II
One last Beacon, one last shopping trip, one last boss.

Lighting the hidden nave

  1. Return to the corrupted Beacon and interact — it lights at last as the hidden nave.
  2. Take the torch from its entrance and follow the lit road. Navigation here is trivial with fire in hand and maddening without it; the route is otherwise straightforward.
  3. Loot the road's Vapors and the Endless Core at its end.

The last preparations

The nave's great hall is the game's kindness and its joke at once: chests holding 1,000 Gloom each, farmable indefinitely. Spend freely — level up, upgrade every stone and weapon you intend to use. Then deliver your Gloom at the altar, cleanse the final Ova, and return to the Beacon.

Two more notes before the door:

  • The corruption behind the Beacon is gone, and the summoning sign now offers Tiel as a combat ally for the finale.
  • Resist firing the Ova early if you still have collecting to do — sending it ends the cycle. The world stays open until you choose to finish.

The final boss

Through the door waits the Invader — a pure stat-check in the same mold as the Monolith, with sweeping attacks and a late-game fire-ring phase that punishes greed. Pack invincibility-frame tools (the Shrike Stone's dodge effect is the community answer) and keep the rhythm honest. The ending cutscene rolls, the Harbinger returns to Marrow Keep, and the next cycle — or your New Game Plus — waits on the ovum altar.
