Mortal Shell II — Prisoner's Domain Beacons: All Four Checkpoints

Published 2026-09-174 min read

The Prisoner's Domain Fall Gate holds four beacons in Mortal Shell II — the gate beacon, the gallows checkpoint, the executioner's pulpit and the final drain-culvert. Full cleansing order for the northwest gate.

The Prisoner's Domain is Fainweald's northwest Fall Gate — a vertical prison district where four Beacons mark the descent. Cleanse them in order and the whole gate becomes a fast-travel loop; skip one and every death in the lower levels costs a full climb.

The descending prison paths of the Prisoner's Domain
Four checkpoints down the prison's spine — cleanse them top to bottom.

The cleansing order

  1. Enter through the silent gate from the Ruins of Nochte road — the district's front Beacon stands just inside.
  2. Cleanse the first three checkpoints in sequence as the main road descends: the gate Beacon, the gallows-road checkpoint, and the executioner's pulpit — the last reached by climbing the stairs beyond the gallows.
  3. Return to the gate area once the descent road forks, and take the side path to the drain-culvert dungeon route — its exit opens onto the domain's final Beacon, the deepest checkpoint.
  4. Cleanse the final Beacon. From here, the boss gauntlet of the domain — including the nameless prisoner at the bottom — starts from a rest point, not a climb.

Route discipline

The district's roads double back on themselves constantly. The rule that saves runs: cleanse on sight, never on the way back. Every Beacon you pass unlit is a future corpse run.
