Mortal Shell II — Sanguine Caverns Beacons: The Four-Gate Chain
Published 2026-09-174 min read
The Sanguine Caverns Fall Gate chains four beacons in Mortal Shell II: from the bloodcursed gate through the pulsing cavern and scarlet coast to the feeding grounds. Full route and what each checkpoint stages.
The Sanguine Caverns — Fainweald's north Fall Gate — string four Beacons along one descending chain. The district is built as a relay: each checkpoint stages the next, and the final one stages the gate's boss.
The chain, in order
- From the Gloomshade Grove gate road, cleanse the bloodcursed gate Beacon — the caverns' front door. The final Synaptic Vessel sits on the marked road beyond it.
- Descend to the second checkpoint — the pulsing cavern Beacon — where the district's dungeon loop begins.
- Continue the descent to the scarlet coast Beacon, the staging point for the shoreline fights.
- Cleanse the final Beacon at the feeding grounds. It is the rest point before the gate's closing boss and the Ova delivery that ends the district.
Why the order matters
The caverns' geometry funnels you downward with few shortcuts. A missed Beacon means a full re-descent from the gate — and the district's ranged enemies make that climb painful. Treat the chain as a rule: no Beacon left behind on the way down.
