Mortal Shell II — Great Martyr's Blade Location (Martyr's Prison)

The Great Martyr's Blade is Mortal Shell II's premier greatsword: top-tier single-hit damage and sweeping range. Claim it at the altar deep in the Martyr's Prison dungeon — here is the full route and the elite-room trick.
The Great Martyr's Blade is a two-handed greatsword with some of the best single-hit damage in Mortal Shell II. Enormous reach, wide sweeps, and elite-clearing power — and claiming it unlocks the fittingly named Big Boi achievement.

The route in
- Start from the Gloomshade Grove Beacon and head north-west, following the road to the fortress's outer north-east corner.
- Look for the breach in the wall — that hole is the entrance to the Martyr's Prison dungeon. (Coming from the back entrance of the prison dungeon near the well works too.)
- Inside, interact with the sack on the stone platform to zip across to another section of the dungeon.
- Keep pushing forward until you reach a locked room holding four enemies. Kill all four and the door to the weapon room opens.
- Claim the blade from the altar at the heart of the dungeon.
What it plays like
- Elite single-target damage. Per-hit numbers sit at the top of the weapon list, and the reach lets you start swings from outside most enemy threat ranges.
- Wide horizontal sweeps make crowd control genuinely viable — rare for a weapon this heavy.
- The price is speed. It is one of the slowest weapons in the game, and without planning its rhythm gets you clipped on recoveries. Harden through punishes, or pair it with Frost-style builds that make every landed hit count.
If you enjoy heavy weapons but find the Veteran's Battle Axe too stamina-starved, the Great Martyr's Blade is the natural next step: same commitment, far bigger payoff.
