Mortal Shell II — Triarch Repeater Location (Blackwell Cavern)

Published 2026-09-173 min read

The Triarch Repeater is Mortal Shell II's rapid-fire sidearm: three-shot bursts, fast handling and strong posture damage, all fueled by Resolve instead of ammo. It sits mid-way through the Blackwell Cavern — full route inside.

The Triarch Repeater is the sidearm for players who hate reloading: a rapid three-shot burst crossbow that needs no ammunition at all — every shot is paid in Resolve. Fast handling, quick bursts and excellent posture damage make it the most spammable ranged tool in Mortal Shell II.

Where to find it — no boss required

The best part of the Triarch Repeater is the price of admission: you do not fight your way to the end of anything.

  1. Fast travel to the Castigator's Keep Beacon.
  2. Follow the road down — or simply drop off the back of the Beacon platform — to reach the lower area.
  3. Head north along the path until you reach the cliff-corner entrance of the Blackwell Cavern dungeon.
  4. Push into the dungeon — the Repeater is sitting on the ground in the first lit area, roughly mid-way through. Pick it up and walk out.

What it plays like

  • Burst pressure on demand. Three quick bolts per trigger pull shred posture and interrupt wind-ups; a burst at the right moment cancels more attacks than any other sidearm.
  • Ammo-free by design. Because it burns Resolve instead of bolts, aggressive play that keeps landing melee swings literally refills its magazine.
  • Sustained ranged DPS. Against staggered or fleeing enemies, back-to-back bursts finish fights that other sidearms would need reloading for.

If the Forgotten Crossbow is the sniper rifle, the Triarch Repeater is the SMG — and the two come from conveniently adjacent regions.
