Mortal Shell II — Salvaged Trebuchaxe Location (After the Bloodcursed Lithopod)
Published 2026-09-173 min read
The Salvaged Trebuchaxe is Mortal Shell II's charge-and-throw sidearm: a fully charged throw can one-shot most normal enemies. Claim it in the Ravaged Hideout after beating the Bloodcursed Lithopod — route and usage tips inside.
The Salvaged Trebuchaxe throws entire axes at people, and it is exactly as fun as it sounds. This mid-range sidearm consumes Resolve to hurl a charging war-axe; a fully charged throw deletes most normal enemies outright, making it the hardest-hitting opening button of the early game.

How to get it
- Start from the Gloomshade Grove Beacon and head south.
- Defeat the world boss nearby — the Bloodcursed Lithopod. Its defeat opens the way into the Ravaged Hideout dungeon.
- Work through the dungeon to the final room. The Salvaged Trebuchaxe rests on a corpse there.
What it plays like
- Burst-pick perfection. A full-charge throw kills most standard enemies in one hit — patrolling packs become a sequence of free, silent-ish removals.
- Arcing drop. The projectile falls over distance, so long-range accuracy takes practice; mid-range throws are the sweet spot.
- Charging is exposed. Winding up a throw takes time, and an enemy in your face makes the whole gesture a bad idea. Open fights with it, or reposition first — never charge it inside a swing's range.
Treat it as the punctuation mark of your build: dash in with your primary, disengage, and end the argument with a thrown axe.
